The success!
Alphaville was a successful synthpop group from the '80s. They have a lot of hits like the super famous "forever young" and "big in Japan". They are from Germany, but It wasn't a barrier to get success, mainly because they sang in English. They got success really early. The band was consolidated in the '83s and at this year they released their first single 'Big in Japan' which was his first hit. After that, they released the album 'Forever young' (1984), which included the single with the same name, and I told you before this single was a complete success too.

They released more albums like "afternoon in Utopia" (1986), "the breathtaking blue" (1989), "Prostitute" (1994), and "Salvation" (1997) at this point, the original members were leaving and Marian Gold was unique member supporting the band. Marian Gold kept on with the band and new people were included as group members of the band. This new formation released two more albums 'Catching Rays on Giant' (2010)
'Strange Attractor' (2017), which sounds really really good, to be honest.
Marian Gold
His vocal lead is the well known Marion Gold, but this is not his real name. As he said and in a TV interview, he looked for an artistic name which included some color like 'Roy Black'. But this name was not available. So he decided to be called 'Marian Gold' because it sounded good and it had a color, the 'Gold' color. If you see Marian Gold nowadays, he is a 66 years old guy, and he doesn't look like he was at the beginning, but his voice sounds like before more or less, which is the important. He retains his energy and his welldone live performances.

Nowadays
Two years ago from the last album, but It looks like the band keeps on working. I think they have evolved and they still sound really good. I hope they released more albums.
'sounds like a melody' live! Pure nostalgia!
