Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday season!
I have been "out" of the crypto scene for a couple months now and just wanted to share a couple of thoughts.
First of all - if you need help, reach out. It is there and available, all you need to do is ask (and trust me, I know how hard that can be). For the last ~10 years of my life, I was drinking way, way too much. I am an alcoholic.
Combine alcohol (or any other drug) with decision making, and you tend to... not make very good decisions. The last year specifically has been very rough, but I finally made the decision - and actually stuck with it this time - to reach out and get the help I needed.
As of today, I am officially 100 days sober, and I cannot tell you enough how good it feels.
Looking back over the past 10 years of my life I can say that there are hundreds of things I regret, and even going back further than that as well. However, without them, I likely wouldn't have gotten the help I needed.
It has been a rough life, but trust me when I say this - it does get better.
I only have one or two people that I can talk to about these things so I wanted to spread some good vibes to other people who may need it, just like I did - and still do.
I'm not saying life is perfect right now, far from actually. There are a lot of things I have to fix and catch up on that I've been neglecting for a long time. It is a slow process, but you can't unwind 10 years of time in three months.
Please, if you need help - whatever that may be - reach out and ask for it. It may not come right away, or in the way you want it, but at least try. There is a lot of good we can do in this world and if you in turn can help someone else who is struggling it is all worth it.
Much love and happy holidays! <3
Reaching out to family and friends is important (even if it may suck - but there are exceptions obviously) do what you can to reconnect if possible!
