As in all things that have a beginning, there is also an end. Exactly one year ago the Crypto portfolio Experiment started with virtual money, 200 Euro, to be divided into two equal parts on 2 different types of portfolios (here is the first article in the series with the explanation Crypto Portfolio Experiment).
Today, exactly one year later, I decided to close this series, bringing the results.
At the time at which I am writing, after a few days of even major declines, the 2 portfolios have come to a halt with 2 decidedly unexpected results (or rather, unexpected by me at the time I began the experiment).
Portfolio 1: its value almost doubled to a countervalue of 193.68 Euros (+93.68%). As throughout the year, the real driving force behind this performance was SOLANA, followed by BNB (surprise) and BTC. An excellent investment in short.
Portfolio 2: Here is the disappointment I mentioned earlier...I would not have expected a negative performance of this wallet, with a loss, albeit small, of -3.22% (current value 96.78 Euro). I was placing high expectations on this wallet, composed of coins with high potential. Patience.
What to say now? I think I will abandon this virtual experiment, looking for something or some coins for a real money experiment. It won't be easy, but the potential to make a good performance is there. I am just undecided whether to exploit portfolio 1 again or think of something completely new. We will see in the future.
