How many of you are aware of the fact that not only unhealthy foods but also stress is making us age prematurely?
In today's world, everyone is talking about stress. It is even severely affecting children in kindergarten.
Previously, we didn't know much about this stress. This was because our home environment was connected to other people. We laughed, talked, visited friends and relatives, and shared stories, thus preventing stress from becoming overwhelming.
Today, it's all about mobile phones and computers everywhere. To make matters worse, the depressing television programs are ruining the vibrant atmosphere of our homes. As a result, stress accumulates in the body without any outlet.
When stress increases in this way, the adrenal glands located above the kidneys begin to secrete excessive amounts of the stress hormone called cortisol. This leads to various problems in the body. The kidneys are the first to be affected.
This cortisol hormone is a major factor in causing premature aging. This is because it breaks down the collagen and elastin structures that maintain the firmness and elasticity of the skin. As a result, wrinkles begin to appear around the eyes and on the skin. Hair loss also begins.
When excessive amounts of this stress hormone are secreted, it creates a craving for food. Specifically, it creates an intense desire for sweets, fatty foods, and salty foods. When we eat whatever we can to satisfy that craving, obesity comes along for free. Along with this, high blood pressure and diabetes develop, and the immune system weakens. Moreover, the fat that accumulates in the abdominal area, known as toxic fat, invites many heart diseases.
How to avoid stress?
When you are stressed, you should start walking. Walking will calm your mind.
Meditation is an excellent outlet for stress. If you close your eyes for half an hour and simply observe your natural breathing, your breath will balance your state of mind. Breathing exercises and yoga practices related to breathing are a primary method to reduce stress.
Next, you should change your diet. Instead of eating high-calorie foods that increase body fat, you should eat more fiber-rich grains, fruits, and nuts. It is best to completely avoid outside food.
It is very important to eat easily digestible food before 7 PM and avoid overeating at night. Similarly, going to sleep by 10 PM is also essential. That is, regular sleep is very important.
Talking and interacting with people who speak positively and enthusiastically is another outlet for stress. Stay away from those who constantly complain.
Playing with young children and pets is another wonderful way to relieve stress.
Visiting natural places and places of worship can also reduce stress.
You should constantly seek out and learn new things. Similarly, it is very important to change a monotonous lifestyle.
Always keep your body active. Be enthusiastic. If we are lethargic, we will only go further downhill.
It is essential to avoid worrying about something we cannot change or something that has already happened. We must face everything with courage.
Our life's boat is sailing in the middle of the sea of suffering. Only by taking the oar of hope in our hands can we move forward. Otherwise, we will drown in that sea. Health is the greatest wealth. Let us protect it.
