It has been hectic over at Honeygain - the platform has seen a huge surge in demand so can be forgiven for some backend teething issues - in the case of the Honeygain App stopping crediting units, in the main this is not the fault of Honeygain but manufacturers of mobile devices such as Samsung and Sony for example having built in stock security, and background security sdk's.

I did find a solution that remedies the problem on some Samsung and Sony mobile devices, albeit temporary for unrooted phones - I am not a huge fan of rooting phones just because of the security implications - but in the case of rooted phones you can find a permanent solution via disabling all security in respect to Honeygain and whitelist the application as appropriate to your device. ALL other devices unrooted have to for now, a must, force stop any built in security via settings - applications - all - and scroll through to force stop security. 

In the case of Samsung mobile devices it is is much more complicated and an absolute pain in the old joints to keep performing, this is a tool with the name of Smart Manager... It is not very smart, and the free stock version does not carry the ability to whitelist Honeygain. So you will need to keep checking to see if Honeygain is still totting up credits every so often.

Currently I do check as a habit every 2-hours or so for the Samsung devices carrying Smart Manager... Newer devices this will be whatever stock security attached to your device. Again with these devices you will need to force stop security via settings - applications - all.

I know it is a pain... Honeygain do pay reference to this on install. But manufacturers of mobile tech and applications came down on developments that involved automatically switching off device security. 

I have contacted developers with an idea to attach an easy way for users to have the choice to manually disable and whitelist Honeygain as a choice within the app. We shall see what becomes in the next update. 

For me I am on my third payment and the issues I have gotten used to - but I thought better to share the solution than keep shtum and watch members get a touch impatient on credits being applied.

Please remember that there are geographical differences in credits currently - more are being added. 

Blame manufacturers... They ruin everything lol.
