This will be a short, sweet post that gets back to my usual Left-leaning critique of SJWs. This time, it is a remarkable example of an Anarcho-Communist (and self identified AntiFa supporter) advocate for an ethno state. It is one of the best examples of horseshoe theory I have ever seen.

A few days ago, somebody sent me some screenshots from a political debate group wherein an Anarcho-Communist argued that white people should never travel to, or be a tourists, in third world countries. This is because, they said, "white people should say out of places that are gentrified by their very presence" in regards to white people traveling to 3rd world countries. Yes, the very existence of white people is colonialism.

Let's ignore for a second the fact that these white people often spend tons of money in these countries when they go visit them, stimulating the local economy and local business owners. This AnCom, supposedly a super-progressive radical who wants equality, is advocating for nothing less than an ethnostate. If white people are not allowed to even visit these countries, they are defacto proposing a ban. White people would have to be refused visas on the basis of race and deported from the country. Only the native ethnicity would be allowed. That is the definition of an ethnostate.  In other posts this person has been against Trump's Muslim Ban. It's kind of funny to see somebody denounce Trump's Muslim Ban as racist, while proposing a ban on an entire race themselves! That is some epic Horseshoe Theory fail!

And of course, what if whites already in the country refuse to leave? They would have to be forced out. 

Violence in order to create an ethnostate. This is seriously starting to sound like fascism, isn't it?

I'm not denying that out-of-touch tourists can be damaging and disrespectful to a local culture, but surely banning people based on skin color is not the solution. That idea relies on ultimately racist principals and is very similar to authoritarian right anti-immigrant and racial rhetoric. The person who said this opposes Trump's Muslim Ban because not all people of a certain group should be held responsible for the actions of some individuals. That is totally valid, but why can't they see that the same thing holds true when it comes to white people and colonization? White people today can't be held responsible for the actions of people who happened to share their skin tone 100-400 years ago! And what about whites from countries that have essentially never been colonial? What about Scots, Irish, Scandinavians (the Viking age might have been colonial in a way...but come on!) and most Slavs? That's about half of Europe that was never colonizers!

The Horseshoe Theory is an amazing thing to see in action.
