Referendum 93, increasing the number of validators gradually to 900 from 700, has passed and will go into effect this week. https://kusama.polkassembly.io/referendum/93

Kusama currently has 49% of KSM staked and an inflation rate of 7.5% p.a.

Tips and Tricks

Did you know that a portion of the Polkadot Treasury (1%) is burnt automatically every spend period if not spent, but this burn percentage (0.2%) on Kusama is instead redirected to the Society? https://guide.kusama.network/docs/en/kusama-parameters#treasury
