The number of transactions on the XRP Ledger has increased dramatically yesterday. Big data analyst Thomas Silkjær says the network is under attack.
According to data from BitInfoCharts, the number of transactions on the XRP Ledger rose to a historic peak yesterday with 3.53 million. The number of transactions, which was determined to be 1.19 million on November 19, 2019, a few days before the record, increased steadily since then, climbing from 2.27 million to 3.53 million in a day yesterday.
Thomas Silkjær, big data analyst and Forbes writer, says XRP Ledger was bombarded with payments that had no purpose other than spamming. The analyst believes that the person behind these transactions spent 40,000 XRP worth about $ 9200.
Investigations continue on the real cause of these transactions.
