Hello everyone.
My name is Haris and I am a 27 years old skateboarder from Western Greece. I grew up in a city called "Ioannina" and I've been skating since I was 13!
I started skateboarding in Summer camp. An older kid I was friends with had this "Element" board and he was looking so cool riding it. My parents were gonna spend their summer holidays in a village near the Summer camp so I asked them if they could buy me a skateboard and lucky me they did. I will never forget the day my parents gave me my first board. I was so happy and the moment I stepped my foot on it I knew what I wanted to do in my life.
There were only 4 skaters in my city back in 2006 and there was no skatepark. We were skating the streets all day and not all people like skaters. Somehow they think that we are punks who destroy private and public property but this is not the case. Skateboarding is street art!
We wanted everyone in our city to start looking at skateboarding with a positive perspective so we decided to form a crew and film a video to show all haters that skateboarding is something beautiful.

And this is our first crew logo created in Windows Drawing. Hahaha!

We had a sweet crew name, a Sony Handycam and a lot of free time to skate but one thing we didn't have back then was a computer with a Firewire card so we can export the clips from our camera.
Lucky for us, a student named Dimitris had a PC with Firewire so he was the one in charge of exporting the clips!
Almost a year after we started filming we had enough footage to release a full video so we asked Dimitris to start editing all out clips into the Full "fTR Crew" Video but by that time he had almost finished with his studies and was preparing to leave Ioannina and return to his hometown. He promised us that he would edit the footage and send it back to us. And that's what he did.
He wasn't able to edit a full video but instead he sent each one of us our parts.
Here is my part
I was also sponsored by a local skateshop called "Second Reef" at that time and a couple of days after releasing this part the shop owner called me and told me that both a Greek Skateboarding company called "Propaganda Rollin Co." and Vans wanted to add me to their roster.
I WAS SO HYPED
It was a dream came true and since this day I really started chasing my dreams.
I was living the so called "Skatelife". Free boards and shoes, some money in the bank and skate tours all around Greece.
This is my very first skate tour with Propaganda and it was SO GOOD

A year later I moved to a small city called "Kozani" to study Environmental Engineering. There were no skaters in Kozani and skating alone is not the best both for me and for my sponsors. I was just skating for fun, I wasn't sending them any footage and it wasn't so easy to promote your sponsors online back in 2010 like it is today with apps like Instagram etc. so both Vans and Propaganda stopped sending me stuff. I was no longer living the dream life! SH*T!
Having no sponsors and no skaters to skate with, I started skating less and playing more video games. Before I knew it, a year has passed without skating.
I still remember that day. I woke up and I thought "What the hell are you dong smoking weed and playing video games all day?"
The next thing I did was to go to a local skate shop and buy a complete skateboard and this was the best decision I have ever made.
Since that day I never stopped skating again.
Once I finished my studies I returned to Ioannina city and hyped up all my homies to start skating again. Most of them had also stopped skating for their own personal reasons.
This all happened in 2014. Since 2014 both me and my ftr crew homies have been skating like crazy.

As you pretty much guess, all my life is around skateboarding.
This is my dream
To be able to live the real "Skatelife" again but this time with my terms.
I want to travel around the world and skate the most amazing and bizarre spots and the world of crypto is bringing me closer to that goal everyday!
I might not be able to travel around the world with my online income today but I am sure I will be in the future and that's the reason I am building a skateboarding community on Hive Blockchain called "SkateHive", so I can support and help all skaters that have the same dreams like me.
To be able to make a living out of the things they love doing.
