A new blockchain game was released on Hive blockchain a few hours ago and a blockchain game maniac like me couldn't pass away the chance of testing it out!
The game I am talking about is @DCrops, a blockchain based farming simulation game which runs on top of the Hive blockchain.
First Look
This is just the first draft of this game so it's not even an Alpha release, yet everything's running smooth from a technical side. Not even a single transaction failed and the response time was super-fast!
Planting all these seeds is kinda boring though cause each action requires a confirmation and 3 secs wait time. We can't yet choose to plant multiple seeds with one click but the team behind DCrops said they are working on it
Gameplay
Plant seeds-->Harvest crops when ready-->Sell harvested crops for Shares-->More shares = More Season Rewards
Each in-game season lasts for 1 week and like real life, there are 4 seasons in total (Spring,Summer,Autumn,Winter)
You can only plant what grows in each specific season and there are no restrictions when it comes to which plot of land you are gonna use for planting.
For example, I can plant a common "Kale" in a "Legendary Land" and I can also plant a legendary "Bell Pepper" in a "Common Land"

Each seed and land card has their own stats and special effects depending on their rarity. You can find aditional info about each card if you roll your cursor over the exclamation mark at the top right corner of each card.
All you have to do to plant a seed is to click on the tractor icon after you log in to https://dcrops.com/, choose the plot of land you wanna plant at and choose the seeds you wanna plant.
Tip : Make sure you refresh the page after planting so your seeds can show up in the plot of land you planted
Rewards
What makes blockchain gaming awesome is the play2earn concept. Same in DCrops, us players are gonna split a season reward pool of 500,000 CROP tokens according to our season rankings. The more crops you harvested and sold for SHARES, the more season rewards you are gonna receive at the end of each season.

How to play DCrops
In order to play DCrops, you are gonna need 2 things. A Hive account and some cards.
You can create a Hive account by clicking on the link bellow (ref link)
As for the cards, the only way to get some right now is to buy them with $HIVE directly from other players in the DCrops market (https://dcrops.com/market) since all 10,000 Alpha were sold in 2 days.
More packs will be available in the near future but until then it is what it is. The early bird gets the worm hehehe!
