Binance Card shuts down?!? - Best Alternative for European Citizens

By knowhow92 | Knowhow | 23 Oct 2023

Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange and offers a variety of services to their users. One of them is Binance Card, a Visa card operating just like traditional bank card do. Users can top up their Binance card with crypto and pay their daily expenses with no restrictions, works everywhere, anytime. Things will change soon though...

As Binance announced they will be shutting down their Visa card in Europe on December 20 2023 and users will no longer be able to pay with crypto.

As you can read in the image above I'm one of those user affected by this. My income is 100% coming from crypto and I've been using Binance card to pay for pretty much everything the past 2 years.

I'm sure many people are in the same boat as me and are already looking for an alternative and after a little bit of research I think I found the best one! Talking about...

Bybit Card

Bybit was founded in 2018 and it's currently one of the top crypto exchanges globally. A few months ago they launched their Debit Card and after digging some info about it I can say it's the best alternative to Binance card (unless I'm missing something). Low fees, easy to use, no stacking required to get one, loyalty rewards and no annual fees.

Fees

No annual fees, a decent 0.5% foreign exchange fee, 0.9% crypto conversion fee, free to order and a 2% ATM withdrawal fee. Really close to what Binance is already offering to their users so it's a pass from me.

Spending Limit

Super dope spending limits with 5k daily, 50k monthly and 250k yearly! Numbers are a little lower than Binance's 8700 Euro daily limit but still more than enough, at least for me hehe!

ATM Withdrawal Limit

Almost every merchant accepts card payments nowadays but in case you need cash you can withdraw up to 2000 Euro/day, 10000 Euro/month and 75000 Euro/year! Again, less than Binance but more than enough to live a comfortable life anywhere on this planet.

KYC and Restrictions

As every centeralized exchange Bybit asks for a KYC before you can apply for a card and also keep in mind that even though Bybit card is available in Europe some countries are restricted from using it such as Croatia, Iceland, Ireland Liechtenstein and Romania.
