Would you agree with the statement "Change your mindset; change your life"? Even though this is something commonly believed, I had not given much attention to educating my mindset. However recently, I had one of my self-discussions and I had a "eureka" moment.
I have been doing so(too) many things the past few years but what about my goals? They are not yet achieved, not yet fully identified; not set
How we choose to spend our spare time can make a difference in our life.
Today, as I was checking my [tiktok channel](https://www.tiktok.com/@katycrete, I saw a video that rocked my world.
This is the main point.
The day starts for all of us with the same amount of currency to spend: 24 hours. There is no way out of that, but it is something to consider and to help you be motivated.
The question you have to ask yourself is how are you going to invest that time? You control it, and how you choose to use it reflects your priorities and values.
You can’t get more time, and you can’t get less time—what you have is what you have. So if we all start with the same amount of hours in the day, then why do some people seem to have so much more?
Well, they don't really have more than others—they act differently in the day. Think. How does your day start? Do you have routines every morning? What time do you start work? Do you do it effectively? How/When do you rest? Do you try to learn some new things during the day? How do you end your day?
You are in charge of how you invest your time, how you choose to use it, and whether or not you spend it on things that will contribute to your growth and add value to your life, or simply waste it.
How you choose to spend the time you have is a reflection of your priorities and values, because the choice is yours.
The fact that you are reading this right now means that at this very moment, you have the ability to make a choice about how to spend your time. And while it may feel like there is only so much time in each day, the reality is that you can choose how much time you want to spend on something.
Have you ever read about how famous/wealthy/successful people spend their time? Do you try to take some examples from other people?
Warren Buffett reportedly wakes up every morning at 6:45AM and spends 80% of his time reading and thinking.
How much time do you spend thinking? I spend a lot of time thinking, but even though I keep notes of my to-do's and of my ideas/thoughts, sometimes I fail to commit and to plan my way to my goals.
Successful people are conscious about how they invest their time toward their goals, and so should we.
We should be willing to invest in things that will make us better at what it is that we do or want to do in life.
Final Thoughts
There’s no doubt that it can be hard to keep track of our time. How can we make sure we are spending it on things that matter?
This is something I have not figured out just yet. I do baby steps, trying to plan some of my short-term goals and maybe the problem is that my long-term goals are not yet set.
What do you think?
Do you plan how to .. spend your time?
What do you do for extra motivation?
Do you know exactly what you wish to do in the near/distant future?
Thank you for listening to my thoughts today...
