I joined the crypto sphere in 2017 and even though lots have changed since then, the life lessons learned are always relevant.
We have all done things, been places, and learned a ton of new stuff — some more, some less.
But what is the point, if we do not come out to transfer our knowledge and experience to people who are new to certain experiences?
I read many posts that seem to be written by AI — without any personal element. How can you write a how-to post if you have not tried it yourself? It does not matter if you succeeded or failed, it matters that you share your own experience because it can be very important to one person who reads it.
In this post, I will share some of the life-changing lessons that I have learned, during the 5 years I have been actively in the blockchain-crypto world. Many bad or good things could happen to me. I preferred to be proactive and careful, than spontaneous & potentially careless.
Here’s what I ve learned, and my advise to you reading this.

1. Education, Education, Education
Without knowledge, we are nothing. Without it, we would not be here, now.
Especially when a new, ground-breaking technology such as the blockchain is released, and brings so many changes in just a few years — then you absolutely need to know more about it. This technology will change our lives massively. It already has changed the lives of many people — so if you are reading this, if you already have heard something about it — trust me. You should know more!
There are many online free courses that you can attend, find them quickly by googling. Alternatively, I ve created a list of some courses that earn you an NFT certificate too here:

I plan to share more courses starting soon, block-chain oriented and mostly FREE to attend so stay tuned!
2. Safety First
Stay safe at all times. Do not click hastily without verifying. Do not believe anything that is sent your way. Do not download any applications on your phone if you do not check their credibility and verify their sources!
You can check out this post where it is mentioned that Binance has its own verification website and the below post for identifying ‘red flags’ in messages or platforms that you may want to sign up.
How can you identify the ‘red flags’ of an Investment Platform?

3. A bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush
I could have made hundreds of thousands of dollars in crypto. I could be risky and there were many good times during the timeframe 2017–2023
But I was not risky. I also did not know then everything I know now.
I could also lose it all, I could be depressed and potentially harm myself.
I preferred to save small amounts, to find ways to earn money online (more about this in future posts) and to stay safe rather than risk it all for earning more.
4. Use FOMO to your advantage — but always keeping in mind 1,2,3 :)
F.O.M.O. stands for Fear of Missing Out.
And I am sure this has been the case often for many of you. It has also been the case for me. I try to stay in the loop with new applications, new airdrops, new platforms to try out. But not in the expense of safety.
I almost missed joining an invite-only platform in the past, because I had no time to do it. I did miss it, but luckily I found a way to get in. I did earn an amount of money (until it stopped operating)
Make sure you are well aware of the means to stay safe. If you are not sure, try a different email, a different telephone .. anything that can keep you safe.
If you do not know — find a person you can trust and ask them! — B U T
5. D.Y.O.R. Do Your Own Research
Whatever happens, you are the sole responsible person for your choices. Learn how to do your own research in the fields / areas of interest. Are you into DeFi (Decentralized Finance) — make sure you read about it first.
Are you into the blockchain social media? Read about them. Read about what are the best and safest wallets, make sure you know how to protect your data, your assets, your personal information!
