Brave has recently unveiled a new version of their desktop browser which has now extended its Brave Rewards program to include tipping to Twitter users. Prior to this release, Brave Rewards allowed users to tip Web Sites, YouTube creators and Twitch streamers with further plans to expand into more social media platforms.

Here is everything you need to know;

• A user can now tip their favourite Twitter content producers in BAT if they visit Twitter via the Brave desktop browser.
• The user will first need to enable ‘Brave Rewards’ after which they will see the following “tip’ option attached to every Tweet.

• Users will also have the option to make their tip a regular monthly payment if they really love the content producer they are tipping.
• After sending the tip, the user will have the option to send a Tweet to the Content Creator to let them know

• For Content Creators that have already signed up to Brave Rewards, they will receive their tip in their Brave Rewards wallet in a matter of minutes.

• If the Content Creator has not signed up, the tip will be held for 90 days. If the Content Creator does not sign up in 90 days, the tip is returned to the user who tipped them.
• Payments are made to Brave Rewards users during the first week of every month.

The introduction of Twitter tipping should help to increase the number of Content Creators already signed up which already stands at around 60,000. This figure should continue to increase as Brave continues to expand into platforms such as Reddit, GitHub and Vimeo.
