Cryptocurrencies can be profitable investments. Often the best move is just to HODL. Another approach is to day- and swing trade. For example, last week Coinbase listed Ampleforth Governance Token (AGT). AGT presented ample (no pun intended) opportunities to buy low, sell a bit higher, and take profit through day and swing trading.

As there are a growing number of altcoins to trade on Coinbase, I would expect many to have similar potential, whether relatively newly listed or not. 

Over the last week and few days, most altcoins listed on Coinbase made significant gains on lower resistance levels of price support.  BUt over the last day or two, most of these same altcoins have slowed a little, as seen below for some on a 24-hour time scale. 

One strategy on Coinbase Pro for swing and day trading is to wait until an altcoin is in the deep red for a timescale of interest. For example, minus 10-15% or even the rare 20% or greater losses over a day, a few days, or a bit longer. This takes patience, but, when you think the price of the altcoin of interest has decreased to a solid lower level of support and has room to climb back up, take a starter or larger position expecting a bounce.
