Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I managed to take advantage of starbits price pump and exchange out some starbits for HIVE. So I ended up buying 36 extra packs using HIVE and getting two extra bonus cards as a result.

Giveaway

I opened a lot of packs and I can't keep track of things. So I just plan on giving out a random rare card from any of the pack openings that I didn't give out before.

The giveaway item is R91 Bugle and it is an instrument under the Orchestral music lessons. With 50 more luck, you have a chance of getting more drunk fans and it benefits you if you run Orchestral lessons.

Current Status

I am not exactly sure how starbits I earned throughout the week since I spent took out as many starbits as I could when starbits was near the peg. However if I had to guess, my earnings this week was probably around 165k or so starbits. So I did take a hit to do the seasonal mission but I am sure I came out on top if I add in how much the seasonal instruments cost.

My first 12 packs didn't net me anything nice but I did get 3 epics when I bought the extra 36 packs this week. The three epics were Slither, Bizzo and Custom Import Kit. On top of this, I got 4 more scary mary cards.

I saw that starbits were selling for a high price so I decided to sell off 315k starbits for around 152 HIVE. Later I used LeoDex to withdraw the HIVE back to my wallet and bought 36 packs in total. I don't plan on opening it all up right away. So the Beethoven was gotten for around 5k starbits and the Brahms card for around 10k starbits.

I traded another Drop Dead Drum for a Unidyne. With this, I have another unique card added to my collection. One of the Scary Mary cards was traded for Mozart. Later on during the week, I traded in another drum for a Drumkin card.

While starbits price are a bit elevated, I found the 9k starbits for a cowbell to be a great off so I grabbed it up as well.

Current Goals

My ranking increased quite a bit through the trades and extra pack openings. My time was a little bit better than last week as well so it helped me a bit in the rankings.

I was thinking about it but maybe I will continue to open packs during the event. Having more Scary Mary isn't such a bad thing since I may be able to trade them for something I need in the future. Maybe if I get 10 of them, I will blend them together into the GIF version.

Tips (source)

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
6. If you have more fans than skill and you want reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
