We all spend so many of our waking hours into things which are ultimately geared at improving our quality of life - whether it is the jobs or careers we have in order to pay the bills or the hobbies we choose as a form of escape, release or simply enjoyment - we are always “working toward something better”, so living in the moment can become a little neglected at points.
I am definitely guilty of this too, though I will say that I do make more of an effort these days to take moments in my day to simply walk away from the things which I “have to do”. Those little “gaps” are as important as the to do list - if not even more so. A concept which may be a little hard to grasp initially, but it is true - in my opinion anyway.
Sure, I love the things I get to do with my day time hours, but I would be lying if I said that some days the amount of effort put in does not feel adequately balanced with what I get out of it in terms of getting where I would like to be financially.

I am guessing that I am not alone in this occasional thought process… but here’s the thing. Yes, passion is the key but consistent effort is the path and it is too often that just when you are about to receive some great breakthrough or “level up” in some way, is often when we begin feeling a little despondent and sometimes, because of that - we break the flow of consistency and end up having to start all over again.
I am so guilty of this and have lost count of the times I have done that, lol - but lately I have been harder on myself in keeping up with being consistent in actively pursuing the path of my creative goals - whether I have been in the mood for it or not.
And what do you know, I woke up to some great sales in my shop and a wonderful message from one of the residents in our village telling me how she had bought a loaf of sourdough from what is a pretty popular bakery in town and wanted to let me know that my bread is so much better!

Two little things… yes, but they absolutely made my day! It is things like this that keep the motivation flowing and give a person the emotional energy to keep going, so I was super grateful for both today! I love doing what I am, but we all need motivation and encouragement from time to time... kind of like that quote by Zig Ziglar...
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing, that's why we recommend it daily.”
Both were wonderful Friday surprises and good reminders to myself that keeping the balance of putting in the hours, but also making the time and the effort to enjoy myself by walking away and being fully present in something else entirely different that I enjoy, is perfectly okay... and is in fact the right balance struck, because that is a fuel in itself.
So, on that note...
HAPPY FRIDAY LOVELIES!
Hope you all have a brilliant and beautiful weekend!
❤❤❤
Until next time...
