4 O'CLOCK

4 O'CLOCK

Friday afternoon

Assignments are set aside

Braided rubber bands on one hand A white cotton towel on the other.

Excited heart inside his chest

A smile tattooed on his lps

He meets with his friends and play

Under one of those big mango trees

They hopscotch until they drop Running until they can't catch their breaths,

Laughing at other's mistake.

And laughing again when they make one. When dusk comes, there are also the goodbyes

Tomorrow is Saturday.

And assignments will once again be forgotten
