Stacer - great new system monitor for linux.

Just stumbled upon this tool, so far I love it. Not only it shows you what is doing what on your computer, but all the tools to modify that are at hand.

On top of that it looks very good - especially compared to ksysguard (default KDE system monitor)

For example I saw that my drive is getting full -  but I never expected to have 10+ GB of logs.

Will have to investigate why logrotate is not doing its job - any suggestions where to start appreciated.

Service screen not only gives you interface to enable/disable services but you can also start temporary start/stop any service.

Other than that you also have:

  • package list with  uninstall option
  • standard process list
  • .hosts file manager
  • standard over time graphs
  • and good file searcher as a bonus

In short everything you need to cleanup your system in comprehensive beautiful package.
