Once upon a time in Hollywood, tyrannosauruses ruled. They wrote the scripts, acted and produced themselves. They were all the stars.

Well, not all of them, but many of them.

The fact that dinosaur movies were getting a comeback to help get the dinosaur movie industry started was a big deal. These movie monsters had been done to death and it seemed like some day we might see a movie starring one of them.

But no. Hollywood chose to make another pterodactyl movie. The first movie of the field was the 1990 remake The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It was billed as a faithful recreation of the fictional Island where the movie was set.

The story centers around (as the synopsis says) a tyrannosaur from the backstreets of Chicago, a young guy who didn't have it so easy all the time but grew up to be a green and cool t-rex. You rock, t-rex.
