Hey guys
After all this time, I’m back.
I’d love to say I’m absolutely bursting with excitement for life, but let’s be real, that would be stretching it. Still, there’s hope in me, at least enough to keep pedaling. If I ever lost that, tell me why I still refuse to quit cycling and working out, the only things that keep the blood pumping and the soul half-alive.
I haven’t been writing much here lately, probably because words have felt too heavy. For a while I kept my head down in the little gem-cutting workshop, shaping stones exactly how I wanted them, and somehow that paid the rent.
These days the market is dead anyway, so hey, suddenly I’ve got time to type again. Nah, that’s not the whole story. Not even close.
Some people only feel like writing when everything’s sunshine and fireworks. Others, like me, only reach for the keyboard when they’re already in free-fall, arms flailing, nothing to grab onto.But whatever. I’m here now, and for some weird reason I actually want to be.
Yesterday I was wondering what I should even talk about. A hundred thoughts were spinning in my head. In the end, the winner was the same old villain: prices, inflation, the usual suspects.
Look, I’m the guy who genuinely loves milk. While everyone else, young and old, finds something to complain about when it comes to dairy, I’ve always been the idiot happily chugging it down. Except these days I can’t afford to be that idiot anymore. I honestly can’t remember the last time I drank a proper glass of milk.

For those who think I’m exaggerating: last year milk was 12,000 Toman per kilo. Right now? 50,000 . Do the math, in just one year it’s gone up more than four times. That’s over 300% inflation on a single carton of milk. So milk is off the table, literally, along with a thousand other things that suddenly cost the moon. Things that used to be normal are now luxury items for half the country.
Long story short, If anyone out there is living in a place where the price of basic milk quadrupled in twelve months, please drop a comment. I could really use the reminder that I’m not the only one watching the world get weirder by the day.
