The Stellar Foundation has announced that it has added support for its blockchain to the cryptocurrency wallet of Samsung smartphones.
Stellar is the fifth cryptocurrency network supported by Samsung's wallet. It also allows you to work with Tron assets, Ethereum, Klaytn, and Bitcoin. Thanks to the latest extension, the owners of some Samsung Galaxy smartphone models will be able to store private keys from their addresses in the Stellar blockchain. In addition, developers will be able to add their apps to the Samsung storefront.
“We've created a secure processor dedicated to your passwords, PINs and private keys on the blockchain,” explains Samsung. - Together with the Knox platform, security penetrates every element of your smartphone, from hardware to software. Thus, private information remains private. "
According to the Stellar Foundation, at least four cryptocurrency teams are building apps for the Samsung store: DTSOQ, SatoshiPay, Litemind, and Nodle. In May, the Stellar Foundation invested $ 550,000 in SatoshiPay, a startup specializing in cross-border transactions.
“The integration of Stellar into the Samsung Blockchain Keystore is a significant step for our network,” said Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Foundation. "Samsung is providing a user-centric key management solution to drive wider adoption of blockchain technology."
