A group of ransomware hackers REvil has promised to publish 756 GB of data within a week, including the "dirty secrets" of US President Donald trump. Attackers demand a payment of $42 million in Bitcoin or Monero, Рagesix reports.

And you, the voters, rest assured, after such a publication, you will not want to see him as President. The deadline is one week, " the hackers wrote.

The information was obtained by hacking the new York law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks. This way hackers gained access to contracts, personal correspondence, non-disclosure agreements and other information of celebrities such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Robert De Niro and others. Hackers encrypted the files and deleted the backups.

Grubman responded that they refused to negotiate with hackers despite the threats. Representatives of the company are confident that the payment of funds will not stop extortionists from publishing confidential information.
