I was driving in downtown last night and came up to a stoplight. There was a middle aged couple, from their obnoxious clothing, it was obvious they were coming from an ugly Christmas sweater party, walking in the crosswalk. A car was turning right on red in front of them. It was dark, but, the car turning saw them in plenty of time and stopped, he never entered the crosswalk area. When I say plenty of time, he was ten yards from them and at no point was there any thought that he might even come close to hitting them. I didn't think much of it, but, as the couple continued to walk, the lady got in front of the car and started waving her arms and cussing at the driver.  

As I watched this, I thought the driver missed a great opportunity. He could have rolled down his window and asked, "Hey, were you guys at an Ugly Wife party?" Instead, he just politely waited for the crazy, drunk lady to get it out of her system.
