I come and go from this site every couple of months now. Usually, I have a thought and want to write it down and this is where I come and I am not on any other social media*. I usually get about a 1000 views on my posts, give or take. It has been pretty steady for most of my time here, a good post is 1200-1500 views, a bad post is 500-800.  As it goes, I was wondering what a 1000 views was worth in the real world.

There are two ways to look at this, how much does someone make if they get a thousand views on their content, and how much would you have to pay to have your ad/content viewed a 1000 times. These are actually two very different topics, I will take a quick look at both. One of the biggest issues with this, though, is that how a content creator gets paid is very guarded by companies like YouTube. Even creators that make a lot of money, don't really know how they get paid exactly and why certain posts/videos/tweets make what they do.

Like i said, this is a wide range, and the actual amount depends on factors like the content type, audience location, and the number of monetized views.

2. How much would you pay to get 1000 clicks on your content.

1,000 views can average between $10 to $30, depending on factors like content niche, audience location, and ad engagement. The cost per view is often a range, because again, who knows what is really going behind the scenes with these companies. Also, the type of people you are trying to get to view your content or ad greatly affects costs. In the financial sector, people pay up to a 1.00 per click.

You can see the difference in ranges in what people pay to be seen and what people are paid to be seen. This is where the profit for social media companies comes from. Just some food for thought about the .25 we get for 1000 views here.
