Imagine a world where crypto has been fully into everyday payment systems such as making retail purchases, paying bills, and managing office expenses. This isn't too far from reality as more areas around the world have become keener to the idea of using crypto just like fiat (except that the experience would be much more efficient and secure). The Swiss City of Lugano decided to change things up a bit for their municipality. They are taking the leap of faith into the future by making Bitcoin and Tether as legal tender.

And this type of move isn't new. As we've seen with El Salvador, crypto adoption has become a serious topic of discussion. This is because a lot of the financial infrastructure surrounding traditional internal and cross-border payment systems may have to be "re-tuned" to crypto - meaning lots more meetings, paperwork, and planning. Crypto integration has never been done to this extent when compared to what we've seen ten or even five years ago. Remember when it was such a big deal to purchase something like pizza with Bitcoin? Now, it's becoming as normal as eating apple pie. And that's like a dream come true for crypto investors. Of course, the next question would be "What's Next?" That's the exciting part. 

Fiat fans don't need to worry at the very least. The Swiss franc is probably not going away anytime soon. There have been a number of previous articles that have been written on the possible future co-existence of fiat and cryptocurrencies. As of now, the idea of fiat-crypto financial spheres might be of interest in the near future. As innovations and backing for crypto continue to increase, we might see a different perspective of the co-existence of these two types of currencies come into light in the near future.

One other event of interest is the Bitcoin World Forum that is planned to be held in Lugano later this year. In addition to the plethora of other events that have discussed Bitcoin and other altcoins, the topics discussed in this upcoming event can be very significant 'bookmarks' in a time when the digital era is just emerging.
