One of the main issues with many blockchain-based projects is creating a cohesive community and channeling its participation. A few months ago, Zealy (formerly Crew3) emerged as a solution, thanks to its platform that enables improved engagement by rewarding user participation.
Zealy
Zealy is the ultimate tool for growing the networking potential of communities, turning members into collaborators. It’s a platform designed for both blockchain projects and those born on web2 but projected into web3.
From the community manager’s point of view, the platform is extremely easy to use. With so many quests pre-set and ready to be customized, creating a profile for one’s community on Zealy is a task within everyone’s reach. The analytics tools provided are useful for assessing user sentiment, and it is possible to set up sprints to promote time-limited campaigns, as well as reward users based on overall rankings.
On the user side, Zealy allows us to support our favorite projects and get benefits and rewards in return. Sharing posts, supporting during campaigns, writing articles, and creating memes are all actions that are validated and converted into points (XP), which allow users to compete against each other in time sprints and overall rankings. With the ability to log in with their Discord account (as well as with web3 wallets), even users from outside the blockchain world can join the communities.
After this brief overview, here are some of my favorite communities on Zealy. These are the communities in which I am most active and which, in my opinion, have been set up best by their respective community managers.
SmartNodes ![]()
Cosmonauts of all galaxies unite: one of the best validators in the ecosystem has opened one of the most comprehensive communities related to the Cosmos universe. Content creators, delegators of all networks, and instagrammers, will all find bread and butter. With a passion for the ecosystem and a focus on users, SmartNodes’ Zealy channel is a great source of learning, support, and, of course, rewards.
SmartNodes has decided to launch its own token and distribute it by airdrop to users who delegate at its validator in the various networks where it is present and to those who place in the top positions of the Zealy leaderboard. If I have intrigued you, here’s my article on all the activities promoted by this pillar of the Cosmos community. A tip for the team to make the experience even more immersive? Match some quests with a specific role on the Discord server to further enhance the interaction between these two channels.
ZetaChain ![]()
When people talk about omnichain, those in the know immediately think of ZetaChain, the EVM-compatible L1 blockchain that connects all known networks, including Bitcoin. For an in-depth discussion of the project, I refer you to a previous article of mine.
The Zealy community implemented by the team is well taken care of. For content creators, there is a specific role on the Discord server, which is essential for unlocking new quests. It’s just too bad that the educational section on the project is conditional on obtaining certain roles, which are not exactly immediate to earn. If I can make a suggestion, it is just to lower the requirements to have access to this section, as it is a pity that newly landed users cannot benefit from it.
Braavos Wallet ![]()
Let’s navigate to Starknet, Ethereum’s emerging Layer 2, and land on Braavos, one of the ecosystem’s two main wallets. But Braavos is much more than a wallet. With its campaigns, it will lead us to the discovery of Starknet by allowing the most fearless Braavosians to perform all the actions necessary to open wide the doors to a possible future airdrop.
Quests on Braavos will allow community members to obtain roles on the Discord server and participate in the draw for OG roles. At the end of each month, there are rewards in XP and additional roles for the most active users. If you want to embark on the exploration of Starknet, the Braavos wallet Zealy community is a great place to start.
In/habitants — Web3 Comic ![]()
If you like comics (with NSFW overtones) and NFTs, this community is a must. On the in/habitant Zealy, you will find quests that, just as the project does, seek to connect the physical world to the Web3. You will find yourself mining their NFTs on Stargaze Zone or reviewing the physical edition of their anime on Amazon, all topped off with associated roles on the Discord server and sprints with NFTs and tokens up for grabs.
In a previous article, I analyzed all the facets of this promising project. Certainly, among those I have had the pleasure of attending, this is the community that best reconciles physical art and the blockchain world. With a video game, new chapters, and new NFT collections on the way, I can only recommend it.
Planet IX ![]()
If you are a fan of play-to-earn video games, you must check it out. Planet IX is a strategy game implemented on Polygon blockchain that repurposes a virtual copy of planet Earth as a game arena. Use the assets provided (all configured as NFTs) to breathe new life into the wastes and save humanity from extinction.
On Planet IX’s Zealy community you will find lots of informative material about the game, quests related to your game advancements, as well as social engagement. Here’s another platform that has decided to airdrop part of its token supply to members of the Zealy community. It’s Suiswap, an exchange protocol implemented on the Sui blockchain. The quests related to in-depth exploration of the platform are well maintained, the review of quests is timely, and the community is constantly updated
In this case, airdrop allocation does not depend on placement in the sprint or generate rankings, but is calculated based on the amount of XP points earned before the token launch. Distribution has already begun and, being one of the recipients, I can confirm that SSWP tokens are indeed being distributed as promised. Conclusions
Airdrop, NFT, merchandise, OG roles: actively participating in the life of Zealy communities can lead to rewards of all kinds. Projects that choose to improve engagement through this tool are rapidly increasing. For being a fledgling platform, Zealy’s growth is impressive and, in the future, it’s easy to expect that it will continue to be exponential.
This is just a taste of all the communities you can find on Zealy. Mainstream projects that have adopted the platform include Renault Korea, Michelin, Alpine, and other major brands. Zealy represents, in effect, a paradigm shift in the relationship between project and community.
