"Why It Keeps Expanding"
In the 1920's, Edwin Hubble proved that our universe continues to expand. Since then, many others have confirmed this fact and now take it for granted.
But no one really knows why.
Why doesn't the universe stay the same size? Or why doesn't it shrink instead?
Maybe there's no reason at all and it's just a an effect of randomness at the quantum level?
But Einstein refused to believe that "God played dice with the universe" and many agree with him: There's got to be a reason behind everything that happens, including this ongoing expansion of our universe.
As far as I'm concerned, HE or SHE may not play dice, but how 'bout roulette?
