Tim Sykes coerced his father to buy the Welsh Corgi puppy for his sister's birthday. In spite of being male, the puppy was named "M." - after Tim's favorite author "Emily Dickinson".
The lovable M. proves to be a natural space dog and can easily perform intricate maneuvers while playing with Tim in the ship's zero-gravity.
M. displays his loyalty and protective instinct many times during an attack on the Syke's star freighter "Worries End".
But M. has an embedded transmitter that, so far, continues a weak outgoing message that hasn't been answered...
