What if most aliens are actually normal humans but from another epoch of time?
For example, meet Raymond Clark.
He's 40 y/o, divorced and works as an accountant in the finance department of a big tech company.
As a senior employee, Raymond gets free use of the company's Timegate twice a year for a two week vacation.
Unlike Raymond, most people never get to time travel. It's just too expensive for the average 50 million/year working adult.
Others spend a lifetime saving up for just one roundtrip Timegate ticket; only to be physically disqualified by the tech company's medical screening department.
But Raymond is healthy, always follows the time travel rules and does an excellent job of promoting the Timegate on all social media channels after each trip.
Back to Raymond's twice a year, two week vacations...
Actually, because of the strange quantum mechanics of time travel and existing as a "displaced entity", Raymond's vacations are only five minutes.
But experientially, it "feels like two weeks".
Time travel places a lot of stress on all living organisms.
A two week (five minutes actual) vacation will age the human body by at least two years.
In other words, after each Timegate vacation, Raymond is biologically older by at least two years.
This is the reason for the high physical standards for time travel.
The Universal Time Travel Laws and Regulations are very clear on this issue:
"Only VERY healthy individuals; that is, persons who pass an official, rigorous medical screening, will be permitted to time travel via any certified Timegate."
Raymond is very lucky, indeed.
He inherited some exceptional genes from his parents AND doesn't have to pay for his time travel vacations.
Whenever he can, he time travels back to ancient Egypt. It's his favorite vacation spot.
Why?
Because he lives in the year 4022 and the Earth is going through another Ice Age.
But ancient Egypt is sunny and warm, the exotic food is great and the women are beautiful and very friendly.
A snap of a finger and they quickly cater to his every need.
Why do they do this?
Because Raymond secretly breaks an itty-bitty time travel rule that firmly states to "Observe, not Disturb" anything that genuinely belongs to the time and place.
After just three Timegate trips, whenever he travels back to ancient Egypt, the locals call him "Ra"...

May you and yours be well and loving life today.
