After a bit of a rest, there is finally another new crowdsale being listed on CoinList. I have to say that the past few crowdsales have been particularly nice to me, with the creation of a priority queue for those who have had some past exposure and interaction with Coinlist and aren't one of the million and one bot/multi accounts that have been created in 2021 to grab purchase spots to sell on OTC Telegram channels. Actually, I wonder how many of the people that complain of being "locked" out of their accounts are people who have bought OTC and been scammed?
Anyway, suffice it to say that I've been lucky with the priority queuing system and the queue in that room to be able to grab some purchase spots... which I always purchase immediately as I have a funded CoinList account that doesn't need money coming in from elsewhere.
This coming Thursday, there is a launch that is focussed towards enabling institutional (or private..) custody. Publicly traded companies need to jump through hoops that a retail investor or private company doesn't need to do... so, they can't easily hold digital assets without some extra protection. Fair enough... you would want that! In fact, I think that the vast majority of retail investors would like something similar as well... I know there is a vocal bunch of "not your keys...", but I think that most people don't want full custody and responsibility problems... especially with digital assets. Anyway, there can be a middle ground between full custody and handing over complete control to a custodian... and I believe that is what Qredo is trying to target with their own 3-layered blockchain.
You can find the CoinList deep dive here: https://blog.coinlist.co/a-deep-dive-into-qredo/

Blah blah de blah... the more that I start to interact with the "real world" the more hilarious I find it and completely out of my realm of experience! (My wife says the same as well... not about me, the real world). The About and Mission statements of most companies are fluffed up faff that is borderline meaningless...
I'm more used to About Me: "I'm a violinist, I play music on violin"... or "I'm a teacher, and I teach Mathematics"... Mission statement: I try to do it well. Somewhere in the past century, things went a little bit funny with job descriptions, titles and mission statements.
At least they bold-ed the useful part...

So, here is the purpose, without too much of the guff. I can imagine this being sent down to some poor writer with the instructions... Translate to corporate please.... big words, average letters per word must exceed 7, Sentence length must exceed 15. Use these words in every second sentence, Revolutionary, cutting-edge... sesame street.
Anyway, custody with hierarchy is what institutions need... and if that can link into different blockchains and also harness the liquidity and yields of DeFi... that is going to be worthwhile to be able to bring in the big people. At the moment, this is impossible for anyone other than retail investors.... however, with Coinbase and Compound launching their own products targeting larger investors with less risk appetite.... there is a challenge.
However, this can also translate into on-chain settlement of digital assets (or assets with digital representations) which would vastly improve settlement times of things such as stocks or property... if these were digitalised. All in a transparent manner!

So, there are two rounds that are shared between the two crowdsale rounds. Thankfully, these are again in nice times for my timezone! No more middle of the night alarms! As usual, the cheaper round (Option 2) has a longer vesting time... to prevent dumping... or at least to allow the previous seed round to dump first! Orderly dumping...
The first option is significantly more expensive per token, but has a fast cliff release and a much shorter vesting time.... I'm starting to think that there are quite a few previous CoinList also being released in the September to end of year region... I wonder what is going to be happening then!
Thankfully, low maximum limits on both, so there should be quite a decent number of purchase spots... especially if you are lucky enough to be on the priority queue... which I hope to be again!

It is important to see what the previous rounds have been like, for what price and for what release/vesting schedule. I know that infographics are all the rage... but this is the worst thing that I have ever seen! I like to count calender time in dates... and months... not weeks from a poorly defined 0 week. It is also really hard to read the infographic to see exactly how much of which group and when it is released. This might have worked as an interactive infographic, but as a static one... it is crap squared.
Numbers and table beat pretty but poorly designed infographic every day... but that is what you get when you have trends and fashion over understanding.
