Hashflow (HFT) Launchpool on Binance

This Binance Launchpool caught me a bit off guard a few days back when the pool mining began. I had moved a large chunk of my BNB into locked staking as there hadn't been a Launchpool/Launchpad for most of this year... and having the BNB sitting in the vault was attracting very little in terms of interest. However, I had wanted to check that moving the BNB into locked staking products didn't affect the cashback on the VISA debit card... and when I tested it, and found that it didn't, I started moving into 30-60 day locked products in a staggered fashion. I still held out hope that something would start in the Launch area... but I was quite disappointed, until last week!

Unfortunately, that meant that I had to immediately pull and redeem all the locked products and repay the earnt interest. No big deal, but it did take a few days to clear... during which I missed a day or so of the Launchpool bining. Ah well...

So, the project... Hashflow. It is an interesting one... at the moment, most of the trading options on-chain are going to be Automated Market Makers (AMMs) in the vein of Uniswap or some very similar project. This means you will face slippage, and the potential for being sandwich attacked by MEV bots. Not a crazily big problem... unless you are slinging around some serious numbers. And there are some people who ARE swinging around serious numbers... not to mention that if crypto ever really takes off, it will need to sort out that problem.

Hashflow aims to be a DEX that HAS sorted out these problems with a combination off-chain and on-chain solution to connect traders with quotes for crypto tokens. Interesting... and if it all works seamlessly, then it is going to behave very much like a OTC trade, with a guaranteed price for buyer and seller. Very very interesting... and much needed!

So... what is the purpose of HFT, the token for Hashflow? Well, Governance... yay... and revenue share. So, governance is still a bit of a non-event for most people... and I'm still not convinced that it really will be a thing.... at least not yet, when there isn't really much point in it as DAOs aren't really bound by governance votes.

The weirdly interesting part is the gamified staking for revenue share. This is quite bizarre... and you are playing as a character in a story universe (Hashverse... original)... with Hollywood writers devising a gaming version of staking... Odd. Anyway, I'm wondering if this is all happening on a L2... as this is going to be a bit of a disaster on Ethereum mainnet. But I guess we are going to see.... currently, the Hashverse doesn't seem to be doing much of anything.

Cross chain without external bridges... seems good, looks like liquidity pools from first glance? However, the real killer thing is the protection from slippage and MEV attacks... again, these are critical things for large traders and people wanting to swap large amounts of tokens. Possibly not people like us, but definitely there will be those who will NEED this sort of feature. This is where the signed quotes on-chain are the key ingredient... not quite sure how it exactly works at the moment, especially the off-chain section of it... but if it works as intended, then this is going to set Hashflow a long way apart from the current generation of AMMs.

Token details at the moment... Binance Launchpool has an allocation for those who stake BNB or BUSD in the exchange in the Launchpool section. This runs for 30 days, and is pretty much risk-free.... you just park the BNB/BUSD in the products and just wait it out. Well... if you have it on the exchange, you may as well do this... you aren't really getting better returns anywhere else, and what is better than taking a long-term punt on something that has the backing of Binance?
