The Great Machine: Shattering the Seals

Genre: Dark Ambient / Soundscape

"It was an engine not of metal and physics, but of evil and metaphysics. Every component carved from human suffering, molded from the filth at the very bottom of human existence, forged in every flavor of sin, quenched in corruption, lubricated with hopelessness and insanity. And fueled by human souls."

This is the first track of the "Great Machine" series. It is also the first dark ambient song I wrote. It is significantly less a "song" than a collection of samples manipulated into the soundscape of a story that had been floating around in my head for a decade. I've gotten a lot of feedback on other tracks in the series, but not much on this one.

So what do you think?

More about iconDARK

`I like what I like; I make what I make.`

My electronic instrumentals range from eerie dark ambient to rock-influenced electronica to bass-heavy breakbeat. I refuse to limit myself to just one subgenre. The one unifying thread throughout my work stems from my lifelong love of imaginative fiction, horror movies, and tales of the paranormal… all of which make their way into the titles and themes of my music.
