I recently published a post about how the bungling of handling COVID-19 is a political problem more than a medical one, having read a medical professional's personal account of what it's like to work during the COVID-19 pandemic, an account that got a lot of assent/confirmation/endorsement from other people in the field.
Some doofus got all up in his feels about it and felt personally attacked over his politics (which wasn't the point). He felt compelled to write to me about it and chastise me for not "being kind to everyone", including selfish people who have a vested interest in killing other people (or, at the very least, passing legislation enabling the state to do so on their behalf). However, he showed complete disregard for the people who're being affected by his irresponsibility and self-absorbed centering of the conversation on himself (and that of other anti-vaxxers). I wrote a post about that too. Even then, the asshat doesn't know when to quit and won't shut up, hence why I'm writing this post, which is my response posted in reply to him.
That short summation above hopefully provides sufficient context for what follows.
"... sometimes the cure is worse than the sickness and that's what people are worried about."
Well, there's no cure for stupidity and willful ignorance. That much I do know from experience encountering numerous people who exhibit an abundant lack of wit. If I was them, I wouldn't stress too much about it, since they'll be dead soon, anyway. That should probably be of more concern to them, IMO. Of course, they might (and clearly do) feel differently.
As for your assertion that the vaccine is "experimental" or "untested", it isn't. That myth is unfounded and utter hogwash. Medical trials were run and it was definitely put under scrutiny and held to the highest standards of medicine before being released, so stow your BS.
Anyone who says "have faith with science" needs to be taken out behind the lab and shot, because that person shows a complete lack of understanding of how science works. Unlike religion, one of the the great things about science is that a hypothesis can be tested and a result can be arrived at by using provably sound, repeatable and independently verifiable methods. What you do/don't believe is of no relevance to it/them. Religious adherents "know" stuff (BS, really) because some delusional idiot got high, had a dream and sucked a conclusion out of his thumb, based on insufficient and often anecdotal evidence, and claimed that "it was relayed to me by God, so therefore it's true. Do not doubt me, oh yea of little faith"!
"my politics" don't come into it.
That's my point exactly, so I honestly don't know why you're getting so jumped up and excited about them, feeling so personally attacked. It's not about you or I as individuals; it's about the wider impact your selfishness in refusing to get the jab has on the people around you and the people around them (and the unnecessary toll that's taking on hospitals and medical professionals).
You know who has a lot of feelings they'd like to express? Men who beat their wives to deaths with sports trophies they probably didn't earn for participating alone. Them and Ben Shapiro, but the facts don't care about your or my feelings.
On the matter of facts, here are some about the COVID-19 vaccine(s), from reputable sources (not that I credit you with the strength of character or mental acuity to bother to read them or understand them):

" I think most unvaxxed will live long and happy lives ..."
Well, you can think whatever baseless, delusional things you want to, but go think them somewhere else and keep them off my post, thank you very much. I think the medical professionals claiming that the unvaxxed are dropping like flies aren't telling porkies.
"Its rare that people entertain with a reply in most cases so thank you for even bothering with a reaponse [sic]. It is the only way, in my view, to make any form of dialog. "
The only reason I've responded is because you're too thick or arrogant to realise that you just keep digging yourself deeper into your hole and showcasing just how much of an idiot you are. As the old saying goes, "It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're an idiot than to open it and prove that you are". That's deplorable enough on its own, but it's dangerous as well. I'm not interested in having a dialogue about this with you (or any of your ilk). What I'm interested in is people getting on the vaccine bus or taking themselves out of the picture so that, as a species, we can progress instead of having to endure their/your insufferable, oxygen-wasting presence.
If you hold an open mic for just any old dingus (such as yourself) to walk up and talk for however long they want, you'll get exactly that. The signal:noise goes to 1:∞. All the US school board meetings where people have made public comments railing against critical race theory, despite them having no g@ddamn clue what that is, that it's not taught in any grade school anywhere, and that often these people don't even have kids in that school, is ample demonstration of what a completely unmoderated "open discussion" looks like.
This is exactly one of the problems I have with that site (noise) and I surmised that I would within a few hours of joining.
I suggest you read up on the importance and necessity of moderation, part of why I won't be "kind" to people who come along to derail my posts and waste my energies, as you have (although I will admit that you've provided me ample material on which to write when I'm experiencing one of my rare dry spells).
"I disagree with any bad language, regardless of affiliation."
Well, then you're a fa@@knut who's certainly unaware that the "paucity of vocabulary" hypothesis has been proven to be bullsh|t, by linguistics studies, and are most likely deficient in dexterity when it comes to wielding your diminished vocabulary.
Good day to you, asshat! Now kindly go get vaccinated (which will take you less time and effort than you've spent being resistant and running your mouth to no avail) or f@@k off and die like the rest of the anti-vaxxer scum are going to.
