Is it the sunset or the dawn for humanity?

Times are a-changing...

By Mumriken | Humans and Society | 2 Feb 2020

We have come a long way since we went around hunting the daily food with clubs and stones. The current human being has evolved over at least 100.000 years, out of which most have been almost without any advanced technology. Today we are living in times where in many places the last generation has difficulties even imagining what it was like to live just 20 years ago?

What, no Internet? But Facebook, no? But how did you learn things then?

Clearly, things seem to change more rapidly now than ever, but how does the human cope? How do we keep up with what is going on? How about the singularity?

In this blog I will try to give my views on much of the questions above. Some of it will be a bit provocative, a bit too optimistic, and sometimes a bit pessimistic, but I hope that most of it will thoughtworthy and interesting to read. And at least I hope that it will not leave you without any reactions.

Things are happening faster and faster in our society today. I work as a University teacher in IT, and I am deeply involved in issues concerning the little people in the big contexts. This the Mumrik's view.
