Bienvenidos mis ositos, tu siempre eres mis queridos! (Welcome back little bears you are always my dears!)
Oh no Panda, not ANOTHER dark and depressing blog post!
Should we call you Muerte Panda now!?!
That’s a clever play on my name fren!
I’ve been an off and on fan of the zombie genre since the original Resident Evil games. The movies were meh but passable.
I returned to play the Last of Us game and consumed the Marvel Zombies comics.
Now I’m wrapping up the Walking Dead series and spinoffs.
Man, this zombie stuff can get dark!
The zombie genre doesn’t shy away from gore and violence. What makes the Walking Dead shows stand out are the character development and brutal mercy killings.
There’s also that sensation of being on a morality see-saw in many episodes. Would I lock up this guy too or just put a bullet in the skull to prevent future tragedies?
Friends killing friends, parents killing kids, and kids killing parents. It stinks when you grow attached to character only to see them die in the next episode.
But Panda! This show has so many depressing and disturbing scenes. What does any of this have to do with crypto!?!
Your portfolio probably looks like a barren wasteland populated with “walkers”. Technically these cryptos are “dead” but they still walk around chewing up precious capital.
Generally zombie cryptos stink so bad that they’re easy to avoid.
However the ones that you need to watch out for are the cryptos that have been secretly infected. It’s painful to make tough choices on the fly. We need to kill off zombie chains even the ones we love.
Put them out of their misery before your entire portfolio gets infected and dies.
If you’re unsure how bad the infection you can amputate by selling a part of your position. It’s painful having to hack off an arm or leg. But it’s better to lose a limb than a life.
Once you kill off the zombies, you’re not out of the woods yet. You will need to scavenge for resources so you can repair your portfolio.
Don’t get attached to any main characters in your portfolio. Every crypto has a weak point and can be corrupted. Keep them around as long as they’re healthy but keep a finger on that trigger.
Be especially wary of creepy CeFi characters. Those led by predatory psychotic leaders can be even worse than zombies. They prey on your insecurities and will take advantage of you if you let your guard down. They will look for every opportunity to benefit themselves at our expense.
Borrow Negan’s baseball bat Lucille and kill off any troublemakers to preserve your portfolio.
Unlike a television show, real life cryptos that go bad rarely have a redemption arc. Don’t offer them any hesitation or pity.
There’s an undercurrent of bleakness running through the crypto space. But we’re survivors and we will get through this together.
Be careful out there frens!
Obviously none of this is formal financial or tax advice. You need to find qualified professionals in your jurisdiction.
