Earlier the United Nations has shown interest in blockchain and its underlying technology. They believe that decentralization will help promote development in the coming years. To promote UN's overall blockchain development goals UN has decided to team up with IOG the development wing behind Cardano. The UN is planning to provide $10,000 seed fund for sustainable blockchain projects.

It is worth nothing that Cardano has already come up with Project Catalyst. Project Catalyst will be a future platform through which projects will be funded. Project Catalyst aims to provide funding to community voted blockchain projects. The community will vote through an application build on top of the Cardano blockchain for projects that offer real world use cases and stand a chance for large scale adoption. The community voted blockchain project will get the $10,000 seed fund. IOG believes that this will help bring in more projects into the Cardano's ecosystem.
