Today at 14.30 (p.m.), according to The Block Crypto's news, Tether and Solana agreed to launch USDT on Solana chain. According to latest news written by Yogita Khatri, the crypto ecosystem's largest stablecoin USDT will be launched on Solana network in upcoming days. There's no evidence to mark how much USDT will be launched on Solana network at relevant article. As you can check from the tweet below, after EOS, ETH, OMNI, TRON, Algorand, OMG Network and Liquid Network, Solana is the 8th chain we will see USDT on it.

Solana was originally designed to support thousands of transactions at Nasdaq speed. Today, with Tether's support, Solana is finally capable of realizing that dream.

These words belong to CEO of Solana, Anatoly Yakovenko. Solana is known for using brand new consensus called Proof-of-History and providing one of the lowest transaction fees on the crypto ecosystem nearly about 0.00001$ while Ethereum fees went up to 8$ in few days ago. Solana also claims that Solana developers are faster than Ethereum's so it's the best choice to extend the use cases of USDT.

You can check my latest article about SOLANA and its features to get some details how this news important for them. After this news, in just 45 minutes SOL token price went nearly 50% up and it's currently being traded at 3.6$ per each SOL.
