Aloha, It's me chantel. I am here to tell you all that my home, Hawai'i Big-Island is going through some weird climate changes too.

All over the world we are hearing about heat waves hitting certain states, huge fire's and also the massive droughts that these states have never experienced before. I mean heat waves like what they are feeling and seeing now are "RECORD HIGH"!

 

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA

 

GRAND JUNCTION, CALIFORNIA

 

PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA

 

DEATH VALLEY, CALIFORNIA

 

 

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIFORNIA...PLAYGROUND COULD GIVE A CHILD THIRD DEGREE BURNS 

 

 

In other states they are experiencing massive flooding. Huge amounts of rainfall never seen before in history. Families are left stranded, some on there roofs of there homes and some family's on roofs of their cars, because the rains keep coming, and dams are breaking, rivers and lakes are now overflowing.

In some states where they have never experienced snow before or cold temperatures, are now going through snow storms, snow blizzards, and below freezing temperatures. 

Now let me get to Hawai'i. I have not been to Hawai'i my home in 3 years, I am hearing about climate changes from my family and friends that live in hawai'i. Where I was born and raised the temperatures were always 68-74 degrees during the days and nights were only 68-62 degrees, some nights a little warmer depends on weather. Now during the day it will get up to 78 degrees now and at nights dropping down to 32 degrees, thats cold for hawai'i.

I remind you all Hawai'i has no snow. The only snow in Hawai'i is on the two mountain tops called Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea.

So with that being said Hawai'i does not go through season changes like here in the mainland. 

I can not wait to go back home and see what has changed in the 3 years that I have been gone and away from my big-island Hawai'i home.
