Hanabata Days

Oh, dem hanabata days, We stay runnin' and playin', In da sun an' in da shade, All kine games we stay makin'.

Chase each odda round da block, Play hopscotch and double dutch, Katch 'em all, like Pokemon, Summertime, we neva get enough.

Eat ice shave and li hing mui, And drink soda from da sto', Get one numbah from da crush, We tink we stay growin' up mo'.

But now we all grown up, Hanabata days, dey pau, We neva knew time go by so fast, But we still remember 'em all.

So we stay cherishin' da memories, Of dem carefree, hanabata days, An' we hope da keiki now can enjoy, Da same kine fun and play

Imagine waking up every morning and being able to just load up your car and go to the beach an bbq, Imagine being able to just camp where you want and fish (with no permits required). Imagine being able to just walk right down the road to a friends house or go right around the corner to your uncle or auntys house. Imagine fresh breezes under coconut trees and listening to the sounds of the waves rumbling on the black sand beach, rolling the pebbles along the sand with incoming waves.
