Hello how are you doing, dear reader? I'm writing with a heavy hearth since we got a typhoon where i live and the sea area got totally destroied, even the merry-go-round T-T! I think… generations of people used it, i really do hope they get it working again...it was kind of a simbol… and all of the owners of shops, stores, restaurant, all gone; even the streets are all holes, somehills also crumbled own, Pray for us. Still we are resilient and we decided to do a cafeteria of sorts for the volunteers that are coming from all over the place to help clean and then reconstruct, everyone bring something readymade an there are also cooks, this is what i'm goind to take there: Milk Balls.
Ingredients:
-100 gr Cornstarch
-30g Sugar
-200 ml Milk
-optional liquid butter
-topping of choice (i used cookie crums, pistachios, hazelnuts and cacao; not all togheter of course)
Steps:
-put all of them into a bowl and whisk till there are to clumps
-transfer to a pan and heat gently, you can add butter here to give them a hearty flavor
-Stir continously and when clumps forms try to break them down till it one big clump but it must be soft
-clos the fire and knead in the pan till it's a soft paste
-shape into balls, must be smooth, and dump them into the topping of choice; in alternative you can put them into a plate and sprinkle the toppings
-serve and enjoy, can be put in the fridge for only 1 day (they start cracking after that)
Well until next time! Bye Bye!
