I'm finally back!
After, very, very long time. Well, lots of things happened during that times - including recent price drop, but more about it later... - but if You are not interested You may just skip the next paragraph and went straight to the actual great DCA experiment report part.

Some catch-ups and explanation of my absence
For a long time, I wasn't exactly able to make these reports or any other posts for that matter. But now it kinda changed... but I didn't make any report so long, that I... forgot that I initially intend to make another report after performing 3 weekly purchases - so the total number would reach 30, but somehow I thought the next report should be after 5 purchases, so I wait for them. And intended to make this report the last weekend - I mean 7-8 May, as the previous purchase was on 1st May (technically 2nd) - but on that weekend there was my grandparents' anniversary, and as result, I have much less time, and in work week I have quite little of it, as I have a job and I usually end it about 18.00, and then I have dinner (which usually I have to prepare firstly), so effectively I rarely have time before 19.00... and there often are many different things I have to do. Like now I had a problem with address verification on Binance, which take almost entire 3 days to finally solve... which is a pretty bad thing as now was so great opportunity to buy, including LUNA at less than 1$...
Also as I wrote, I finally got a new job(and now It's my third month actually). It isn't that well paid like the last one, but in general, it is better. Now I work with Symfony, and not the overengineered Magento, which is great, and I have a fully Polish team, and being able to communicate with the team just in my native language is way easier and makes work far more enjoyable. I also have pretty much all things set in regards to university... well kind of. I mean I have passed what I could, I was doomed to fail the semester anyway, but I was at least able to retake the whole studies... but I actually didn't get the answer for that decision to be officially confirmed by the university till about a week before Easter. So yeah, pretty recently. Now I just have to finish one project (which I almost have finished but it turned out) and then I will be on my engineer's degree semester(I mean the one on which I will be able to get my engineer's degree - which is a degree before Master of Science in Engineering in Poland - and for which I already have some part of the subject passed already)... there are reasons why I struggle so much with studies actually, but... they are highly personal so I wouldn't go into much detail... I mean I kinda mentioned my depression once (though not directly) and in short, it is the reason(well there is more to that and more details, but these are too personal for elaborating there, so I hope You'll understand with just that, but yeah it pretty much sabotages my life in literally every area possible), and also the reason why this report is so late and there may be other late ones... but I try my best to make them all in time. I could have pre-prepared this report and published it the next weekend pretending it was the plan from the very beginning... but I just prefer to be honest with You. Also I have a few things on my head now(both more mandatory/external ones, and more personal things), which will affect the next report schedule and next post publishing(and how much I could go into details with this report)... but I'll save that for the last paragraph, as You probably get bored with my excuses already... I hope the rest of the report will make up for that!
Just one little thing I want to thank You for - I have already 43 followers. It may not seem much for someone, but for me - considering how of an amateur in this whole crypto thing I am - it really means a lot, and greatly helps me. It makes me feel these reports and my articles, in general, are wanted and that is the feeling I really need but also really lack in my life, so as I once said satisfaction which it gives me really helps me go further. So again, thank You all!
Base investment - BTC and ETH - and current portfolio value
As I mentioned, now pretty much all the crypto... what would be the word for skyrocketing, but down instead of up? Because that's pretty much what's happening on the market now. I'd say I'm pretty lucky that I got a stable income again in more or less that time, as I can now make use of this opportunity to make some more purchases... (while when I didn't have a stable income the opportunities were far from that great as now)
Some may think I'm gone completely nuts to talk so positively about the current terrible situation on the market, but You know how the saying goes "When there's bloodshed on the market it's the best time to buy. Even if You are the one who's bleeding". And albeit that is a risky move such opportunities are also among the best ones. At least when looking at it from the long term perspective, and about assets, which are reliable in long term. But I consider the best crypto to be such assets, and by the very assumptions of this experiment, it is based on buying these best crypto. Of course, I can sometimes be wrong about some choices, but for now, they seemed to be mostly correct. Albeit there's still much time before the final test (in other words: before the end of the next cycle - which wouldn't come sooner than in 4-5 years, only then we will be able to really tell which of these cryptos have really stood the test of time)
(And yes, I know the saying about bloodshed may seem inappropriate considering the current situation in Ukraine, but I didn't mean to be insensitive or anything, the saying is there for a long time. And I have great respect for the brave defense of Ukrainian soldiers, and for me - as I'm the part of Polish nation - they are my Slavic brothers and sisters, so of course, I wish them well, even though I myself have zero to little possibilities to actually help them... but let's get back to the topic, shall we?)
Of course for now my portfolio doesn't look good, I mean with previous reports the profits did decrease (from 226€(~30%) in report IX to 95€(~12%) in report X) but still stayed positive... but now it is negative for 960€ invested I have... ~580€ that's a ~380€ loss. It is bad but not unexpected. I mean I expected such a number rather in next year or something, not now. Such a big correction really surprised me, but for now, I see it just as a great opportunity to buy before the real peak of the cycle... and after that, I expect my portfolio can be at loss for most of the time, before the end part of the next cycle will come. So despite the situation being seemingly horrible I'm calm and see rather opportunities in all of this. And I'm not entirely sure but my portfolio overall also has losses, but I think they are smaller... I will have to check it more precisely but... in the long term, I don't think it matters anyway. I'm a long-term investor after all.
The composition of my DCA portfolio value changed drastically. Previously it was 27.06% for Bitcoin, 28.87% for Ethereum, and 44.07% for altcoins. But now, as expected in such a situation altcoins as a whole perform worse than Bitcoin and Ethereum, which have 37.87% and 38,96% of total value respectively, thus altcoins are only 23.17% of my portfolio(at least when I checked during writing this paragraph, it changes quite fast right now...) - this proves how bitcoin is a more stable and reliable investment and how Ethereum (which interestingly perform even better now... or at least it seems so - the difference is so small that it can really be just minor price fluctuations) behave pretty similar in that regard.
Also recently I recently kinda moved it to Binance. Even though last time they really annoy me by requesting address confirmation AGAIN, and stopping me from buying LUNA at a really great price. Yes, I think LUNA will recover after all this, as this is fundamentally a very good project. Also buying it may kinda help in its return.
But why did I move to Binance? Well, the fee is effectively higher there (1,8%, compared to 0,9% on Swissborg), but the stacking/earn options seem muuuch better. As I, of course, send all my coins from this experiment into stacking and such things, so actually I made with them more money as CoinTracking is showing me(which is what I use for the gain or loss for every report)... but following all the interest would be too much hassle... and I believe I will make big profits in the end even not counting them. But only time will tell If I was right.
More accumulation of DOT, MATIC and ATOM
On weeks 28-30 I bought more DOT, yes bought DOT another 3 times, making it most often (4 times) purchased altcoin in my portfolio. But considering how much the price dropped now perhaps I will do even another purchase... I mean about 10$ is really desirable price... and I thought that 20$ was a good price. Anyway, I have to make some clarification on when did these purchases occur first was at 17th January next on 20th February and the last of them on 20th April. These were the purchases with the biggest gap, and that's kinda the reason I bought the same coin... And why it was DOT? Simple, I thought about buying this for a long time thinking it is a very good project with a bright future. Not to mention in the ranking of network effect (mentioned in the last report) - which is a very important thing - he was second only to Matic (perhaps it isn't exactly that sure thing, as a big part of development on Matic is not open source, so it's harder to estimate) and Ethereum.
On the 31st week - which was on 25th April, so as You see I returned to regular purchases - I bought MATIC, another promising coin, with its own very fast network and probably the biggest network effect after Ethereum.
On the 32nd week - so 2nd may - I bought ATOM, another coin of a very promising network. And as for MATIC, it was my 3rd purchase of that coin.
Future of the experiment and my blogs
So as I mentioned earlier I mistakenly made this report to be covering 5 purchases instead of the 3 initially planned(but as You see it would be just 3 times DOT... so maybe it's better this way...). And according to that plan I was supposed to make a report per 5 weeks after that… but now that wouldn’t go in line with the idea of a bigger summary with CoinTracking screenshot for each multiple of 10 reports… but doing some smaller one seems now as not so good idea. I think it would be better to not make these reports this often and instead focus more on some different topics(both crypt and non-crypto), which I think will be more interesting.
Therefore the next report will be after 8 purchases, so after my 40th purchase. And after that, I will do one every 10 weeks. And between them, of course, there would be a place for many other posts… at least I hope it will be many of them, eventually, I would like to make one post a week(not counting different language versions), though it may take some times till I achieve this.
Catch-up purchases
You may also ask what with the catch-up purchases I mentioned earlier? (In report X) Well You know how for every report I also note for which week it is, like for example next report would be “report XII (weeks 33-40)”, so beside that I would from now on also include information about the number of already done catch-up purchases. So let’s assume I would do 3 till the 40th week, then the next report would be described as “report XII (weeks 33-40 +3)”, where +3 means that there were 3 catchup purchases to that time. It is meant to not disturb the counting, and at the same time keep information how many purchases there already were. Going further, lest assume that in another report I will have 2 of them, so we would get for example “report XIII (weeks 41-50 +5(2 new))”, to indicate there were 5 catch up purchases in total, including 2 new since last report. Only catch-up purchases that are at least one week old (like the last normal purchase) will qualify in other cases they would go over to the next report. I’m also not entirely sure if I should write it as (2 new), instead of just (2) - I don’t know if the second option would be clear enough… let me know in the comments!
Some of You may also ask how exactly would these catchup purchases work. Well, it’s quite simple, for each I would use 30€ to buy 10€ worth of BTC, ETH and chosen altcoin. When would I do id? Whenever there would be a situation that I consider great opportunity to buy, like the one we have right now, as these price drops are huuuge. Actually, I already make a few purchases, but outside of the experiment (like 0.5 SOL for 50 BUSD, 2,5 NEAR for 7.24, 100 GRT for 0.3 BUSD, 0.33 LUNA for 32,5 BUSD… yeah… I regret I didn’t remove that offer in time… I could buy more than 30 times more for the same money…).
And how many purchases there will be? Well according to my calculations I miss 12 weeks (which also means that the next report will be the first anniversary of the project), so I'm going to make in total that many catch-up purchases
Future blog posts - crypto and not only
As I said I have a few things do to in near future. First is the project for university - which will take one or two of my weekends in which I will probably not be able to write a blog post. I mean when I’ll do it I would like to take time for that to deliver quality content for You, I want these blog posts to be thoughtful and not totally ad hoc. Also this week I will be conducting the KSM meeting (KSM is not from the cryptocurrency here, it means “Katolickie Stowarzyszenie Młodzieży”, which translates to “Catholic Youth Association”), which I have to prepare.
Other things are my personal project like the new webpage for my fandom activity, and also some catch-ups for the stories I wrote… i have many of them, and someday I surely tell You more about that - and perhaps You could help me choose which I will translate into English first. There is also a Civilization V mod I have in mind and my own big expansion pack to Terraforming Mars... project which I have abandoned for months already...
But first of all, I plan some introductory post to my fandom- and culture-related blog, and then… well there are really a lot of topics I could (and wanna) cover. Like my hope and predictions regarding IX gen of Pokemon, updates I would want in Minecraft, what really was Jedi Order mistake, how all Disney movies connect with each other into one big universe, how groundbreaking Waldo Schaeffer technology really was and how small jump from the real science Code Lyoko was actually making with that… and many many more - including also simple exploring lore of interesting universes, finding connections between them and possibilities to really working crossovers, and my own theories not to mention simple reviews, top and tier lists, or commentary to some theories of others - usually with my own personal take on given theory and its implication… also You know I tend to leave big, very thoughtful comments on Youtube… not so rarely thay would make decent blog posts by themselves… or at least base for it. I will also seek answers to more general or even philosophical questions, like “are market processes good for the culture in general?”, “How copyright actually should work and is it even good at all?”, to name a few (not necessarily the deepest ones actually). I will be more precise with all of this in the introductory post, but I think for now it should give You some idea of what to expect.
But this blog, or rather this account I should rather say, started as crypto-related, and - though rather fandom stuff are what really gets me excited, so they may be more and more prominent on my account - sure enough, I have also plans for some crypto-related topic to cover. Like comparing basic passive income options (I mean these like staking and flexible savings, so ones that have absolutely minimal risk) on different exchanges and not only (like Binance, Swissborg, or Celsius), history of my adventure with crypto, breakdown of my portfolio or my investing philosophy, and some more loose topic kinda on the verge of crypto theme, like a breakdown of “Satoshi vs Hamilton rap battle” or why I trust Bitcoin, or even some kinda on the borderline of crypto and fandom/culture stuff. Like crypto and gaming or crypto and fandom.
So stay tuned, as in about a month really cool content should appear on my account.
