MoonDAO sends a person to the moon with crowdfunding thus achieving one of the goals included in their plans. The decentralized autonomous organization is only in phase 2 of its mission (sending people into space). Phase 3 will be raising money for further space research and exploration, the fourth phase will be building your lunar colony, and the fifth phase is having sweet parties on the moon.
Ambitious plans for MoonDAO remain to be seen if they are completed. So far they have sent the influencer Coby Cotton on the last flight of Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos's space vacation company. 12 minutes of flight with five other people to make history. They plan to send another person on the next Blue Origin flight later this year.
It is estimated that only 600 people have been in space and by the end of the year, a DAO may be responsible for two of those people have done so. To choose Coby Cotton, a vote was held on Discord in which 5,000 users participated, and to choose the second traveler, a raffle will be held among the owners of the free NFTs from the "Ticket to the Space" collection.
