The Tech Used to Build GTA V

Cassidy Creek in Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V was released back in 2013 developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is an action-packed adventurous game that is set mostly within the fictional state of San Andreas, based in Southern California.

The story of GTA V follows three protagonists including a retired bank robber Michael De Santa, a drug dealer and arms smuggler person named Trevor Philips, and a street gangster named Franklin Clinton, and their efforts to commit heists while under pressure from a corrupt government agency and powerful criminals. The open-world design of GTA V allows the players to freely roam San Andreas' open countryside and the fictional city of Los Santos, which is based on Los Angeles. Meanwhile, if you need a new account for GTA V, you can find some good deals for fresh accounts from this website.

Furthermore, we will talk about the efforts that the art designers and the developers had put in to make GTA V what it is today. We will discuss the techs that were used to build the empire of Rockstar’s GTA V.

Waterworlds:

Bearing into mind the absolute size of the map of GTA V, the level of detail that RAGE(Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) affords in GTA V is highly impressive. While not a whole generation away from number 4, time has taught the technology how to squeeze every last drop from the current-gen. The water has moved forward massively, and the company has a far more accurate lighting model and generally a far better lighting system, both in terms of quality and quantity.

The weather systems of GTA V are much more advanced than what the game had in the past, building on the cloud systems and rain systems from Red Dead Redemption. If you take a look at the night-based screenshot, all of the little lights that you see in the far distance are real and you can drive towards the lights and find the bulb that casts the light.

The animation structure of Grand Theft Auto V is impressive. This system can blend in so many actions smoothly to give you a really rich movement across all characters. It also exploits the streaming refinements to give you a huge amount of variety and specific actions, allowing you to seamlessly blend in and out of cutscenes. They stop being interruptions to play, so you feel much more connected to the story.

Expanding the world of GTA V:

Generally, the manufacturers of GTA V chop things down. In GTA 4 they cut down four or five blocks north to south from all the islands about 60% of the way into production to cut areas that weren't working and save time. In GTA V they didn't chop. Everything worked, it flowed well, and instead, they just let the areas evolve through continuous iteration.

When it came to copying Grand Theft Auto's locations, much of the work came from teams being sent out on the ground. The art designer of GTA V admitted that Google Maps and the likes have helped them a lot in making this possible.

Better than the previous version:

Grand Theft Auto has not just simply gotten bigger either, it is evolved in almost every other aspect too. Everything in the game is so far distant than it used to be. Grand Theft Auto 4 may have been the first one of the line-up to take RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) for a spin, but it was also in its early days.

Over the recent years, the entire game and its mechanics have been fine-tuned to a point that it has effectively become the new RAGE. Initially, RAGE was a set of components which was a basic rendering engine, a physics engine, and the like. It was never a game engine. When Grand Theft Auto 4 started, RAGE was just a toolset that gave the basics for a rendering engine and a physics engine that the manufacturers were able to build on.

Over the recent years through GTA V's development, the developers have evolved, standardized, and generalized the GTA engine. Players can stream far more and compress far more into memory, meaning orders of magnitude more detail than players had in GTA 4. The graphics engine has been overhauled, which provides the players with a much better rendering of characters, vehicles, and the world as a whole.
