For a long time I was a fierce opponent of Bitcoin Cash, I have now changed my mind about this cryptocurrency that I have long hated.
Why didn’t I like BCH?
Bitcoin cash comes from a fork (separation) with Bitcoin. I always thought it was a very bad idea for the clarity of the ecosystem vis-à-vis the public. I also thought it might generate competition between the different currencies. Some people who were defending the BCH sometimes had very hostile positions compared to Bitcoin which reinforced my negative opinion.
Why did my opinion change?
Crypto-currencies have developed considerably in recent years, it has been found useful to have crypto-currencies that meet a specific utility. Although some cryptocurrencies are in competition, it appeared that the BTC and the BCH do not fulfill the same role and do not compete at all. The false ideological war between some supporters of the two currencies and now quite stupid. Indeed each currency fulfilled its own role:
Bitcoin = reserve currency of value (saving)
Bitcoin cash = highly liquid currency (payment)
Obviously, bitcoin is liquid and bitcoin cash also has a reserve value but each of the protagonists pushed their forces to the maximum which makes them diametrically opposed currencies.
Today I am no longer opposed to bitcoin cash, I even use it on different platforms as payment currency however I still do not use it as intensively as Litecoin. And you, what is your opinion on this currency?
