DANCE OF DEATH: DU LAC & FEY

The developers at Salix Games went well. In an effort to refresh the adventure genre here more and less interesting idea, the whole adventure buried several meters below the black ground. The fantasy story about Lancelot and the talking bitch Fey (that is, by the way, Morgana, but pssst, we're going without spoilers) starts great. A detective girl in the past offers supernatural characters and a world that denies reality. The initial idea is bizarre, but if you grasp it correctly, the talking dog can also be interested. And the first minutes happen. Du Lac is a classic swarm, Fey a pragmatically decisive figure. Then everything falls apart like a house of cards.

Ritual murders take you from the snowy Scandinavia to London, Whitechapel at the end of the 19th century, where it stands out and enjoys the bloody orgies of the well-known Jack Ripper. Well, it may not be gossiped by history and never ripped off by Ripper, but that is now pointless. The story begins to entangle into unnecessary and shallow turns that are desperately lacking in thought (I'd rather get drunk with a dog in a brothel to cry then to kill someone again). Gradual gradation of the storyline, twists not letting the player leave the screen and ultimately a riveting final. Unfortunately, there is nothing like that in Dance of Death. Only enthusiasm. And that is not enough without talent. At the same time, the environment and story background should cause unpleasant colds already automatically.

So the plot is just a circle, and the few characters are actually flat, with no significant shift. You cannot identify with one of the three controllable characters (later on, Mary, who sees the future of the person in contact, often death in this case), explains their behavior and their boringness overall. Rendering characters is a crucial moment to stay away from the game. The environment itself is poor and mainly static backdrop, which is dead, gray and without any significant elements. Here's the street, the interior of the store, the bar, the church - and you've seen everything and it's so uninteresting to talent to mess up like that. The only revival is when Fey shakes her penis with her mouth. Entertainment? No, just disillusionment as to whether this is the equivalent of an engaging story.

It is not best to pull out the technical processing of this adventure genre early, but it is no different. That the game is boring and dense can be survived. Nothing is perfect. But it was the technical processing that pushed the score below and below each minute played. You see what it looks like. The pursuit of three-dimensionality has buried many interesting projects. Twenty years ago, ten, yesterday, and it will happen tomorrow. Today Black Peter drew Dance of Death. As the scenery mentioned above, the background of the game may be painted nicely, but he misses something more than a good job. In the meantime, bloody murders directly offer rich opportunities to throw a dark fantasy and let it loosen a little. Nobody is moving in the street and your character is more like a shot with a ruler in his ass.

Technical problems are worse. Dance of Death is a mugged game. Terrible, unpleasant, actually unplayable. The characters disappear, so you can't start a conversation with them, otherwise you will have a game menu on your screen and you can't turn it off, then the cursor will disappear again - and this is extremely important, see the controls below. The music sounds only occasionally, and maybe it's only better, otherwise the disgust would be even greater. There is an amateur approach to dubbing. Its technical parameters are fine - except that sometimes the volume of one of the characters in the conversation is higher than the other. However, the actors themselves obviously did not see the game's appearance or took on their role with too much enthusiasm. Mary often screams, although she has no reason to do so, some of the exclamations are like an Argentinean soap opera, sometimes nothing happens and you don't chase a mass murderer.

Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey Jediné vzrušenie počas hrania - všetko len pre efekt plytkého súboja.

How can the adventure control be spoiled? Easily. Dance of Death is the brightest example of not doing it. All you need is a mouse. I do not recommend the wireless modestly, because by throwing it you increase the chance that you will not find it subsequently, or in a state that is incompatible with her future life. Normally it works by clicking. For example here, to this character standing at the pier and the hero comes there. It's not like that in Dance of Death. You must position the cursor as if it were in front of / under the subject or character of your interest. Then navigation gives the hero a route that is longer, but even more surprising. Often it goes in the opposite direction, stuck on walls, corners, pushing other characters in front of them, the radius of change of direction is either meaninglessly huge. Or he walks a few inches, turns 90 degrees, puts a small step back, turns back, another step, and when it repeats ten times, you'll just desperately click that the dement finally arrives.

To make it not so easy, you cannot view active items. You need to come close to them, and then an action icon appears. In the beginning you do not know what and where you can go, use or talk to, so you will enjoy clickable orgies. The first Diablo has much to learn. Quickly double-click? Forget. It is questionable whether the game has ever passed any beta test or is Dance of Death not an adventure, but a simulator of patience. Actually the adventure is not one way or the other. You don't have inventory, making interviews makes no sense, and skipping a few action sequences. You do not collect any items, just explore the environment or the character will automatically take all that is possible and use it. The help clumsily tells you what to do, trying to get to an incriminated place, followed by a shallow and uninteresting dialogue or stiff animation.

Now shuffle the previous lines, let them rest well and I will add the famous cherry on the cake. Being boring, often frustrating (not for difficulty, you always go straight to your nose, in 4-5 hours it's done), with technical bugs, is not all. The game does not contain a manual save position. There is nothing, though, that Dance of Death would not play time by damaging the save file. Not once or twice, but for the fifth time the phlegmatic man gives up and plays so that after an annoying departure from the game because of clumsy control, he reads the whole chapter again. I had this offer in debug mode, if the commercial version of the game does not have it, take the rest of the points.

Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey Jedna z obetí, ktorú Du Lac a Fey za pár minút prehliadnu a ide sa ďalej. Bez života.

Dance of the Dead: Du Lac & Fey is an average detective with an interesting background, a possibility to switch characters (Fey talks with animals), a magical supernatural, but some flat. And with a sea of technical problems, mistakes, untapped gameplay that is primitive to horror. Walking simulator where you can't actually walk.
