What is the Enjin Multiverse?  The multiverse is a large group of separate games which are intertwined in a way that player can travel and play between each game.  Because these games are all built on the Ethereum blockchain, player avatars and collectible game items can "travel" with them between all games in the multiverse.  In addition, game items now have actual monetary value which can be bought, sold, traded or collected between users and games.   

As soon as I heard about this project I became very excited.  I could see the massive potential this new wave of gaming could have not only in gaming but in our economy and mainstream crypto adoption.  Needless to say I am a big fan.  Gaming is already a $152.1 Billion industry before any major advancement in blockchain gaming has occurred.  Since 2009, Enjin has become a clear leader in the traditional game development space and has more than 20 million users.  It is no surprise that they are on the cutting edge of blockchain gaming and redefining how games will be played in the near future.  If you are a gamer or are an investor who wants to be on the leading edge of a major shift you will want to keep reading this article!

Enjin has created a "mintshop" which allows any player the ability to create and mint game items which can then be used and sold between players and collectors.  Minting game items requires the creator to pay a small amount of enjin coins per item, which is then built onto the ethereum blockchain.  Players can then purchase these items to help them have more success in game play across the multiverse.  Obviously, some items would be more valuable than others and would demand higher prices.  The cool thing is that any game items that gamers create or purchase now have true monetary value attached, unlike traditional in game purchases previous to blockchain.  P.S. The overwhelming success of CryptoKitties in 2017 clearly shows us that some game items can demand high collector value for game items.  The same is true for multiverse gaming items.  Imagine a powerful sword that is rare that can be used across several different adventure games.  If there are only 50 of them ever minted the potential value is much higher.

Conclusion

I believe that the multiverse is one of the most exciting and important blockchain projects in progress as far as mainstream adoption.  We need more "average" people being able to use cryptocurrency in a simple way.  There aren't many simpler ways to accomplish a seamless transition into cryptocurrency than by allowing people to use them while they are having fun playing games.  Over time people will be using cryptocurrency and not even knowing that they are doing it!
