I trust your adventures in Elderym have been successful and fruitful thus far. The Dread must be pushed back at all costs.
In this Pax Custos Guide we are going to look at an important, but often overlooked, menu found on the Guardian screen. Up at the upper left corner, just to the right of your heroes, there is a circle with a double arrow >>:

Pressing this icon will bring you to the Guardian Interface:
List

Here, you will come to a screen that lists all of your Guardians in order from highest power to lowest. You can change how they are sorted by pressing the circle on the bottom left. Your guardians can be sorted by power, rarity, level, and enlightenment. Additionally, on this screen, you can sort out the guardians you want to see on your list by radiance, domain, aptitude, faction, and class.
Guardian Dex

Here you will see your guardians on the right side of the screen and you can scroll through them. When you select a guardian, you will see some basic information about the guardian and see their story. Learn more about your guardians and Elderym lore by going through the Dex. Gotta catch ‘em all!
Affinity

This tab lists pairs of guardians that share a bond. I’m sure more information about the nature of their bonds will come at some point, but for now, these bonds provide boosts that seem to affect your entire party, whether the bonded characters are in your active group or not.
There are currently 27 bonds that exist between characters. Just having the two guardians will unlock the first HP, Attack, and Defense bonus. The Highest Enlightenment measures the sum of the two guardian’s enlightenment. Once the target is met in that category, that additional buff will be added to all your guardians. For most affinity pairs, there are two levels of Highest Enlightenment that can be achieved.
Also, on the bottom right, you will see a button with three lines, pressing it will show the total of the bonuses that the Guardian Affinities re currently providing.
Sacrifice

And finally, sacrifice. This has been moved out of the Guardian Interface and is now a separate button under the double arrows >>, it looks like a recycle symbol. Here you will see your guardians in the reverse of the default List order; they will be listed from lowest power to highest power. You can select guardians to sacrifice, and along the bottom you will see a running total of the rewards earned for sacrificing them. These souls are important materials to enlighten your other guardians. Over by the sacrifice button is another circle. By clicking it you can quick select heroes to sacrifice based upon their rarity or faction.
Faction Souls, Wisdom Dust, XP Scrolls, and Gear used to upgrade the sacrificed guardians will all be returned to you. The sacrificed guardian will, of course, be removed from your team of guardians.
Understanding and navigating the Guardian Interface will be critical to your progression through Elderym. Don’t neglect the guardian affinities and don’t hesitate to sacrifice guardians that you won’t use to power up your team!
Let’s get stronger together, and I’ll see you in Elderym!
