Remembering My First Power Up Day in Hive Blockchain

WOW, November 1, 2021, how long ago.

Joking aside, every first day of each month of 2021 an event called Power Up Day is held. This month of November was the first time I was able to participate and even though I've been here for HIVE since May, it took me a while to discover and understand what this busy and fun day is.

I'm happy to participate in this project and I believe that like many others here, we had fun with a healthy competition to see who can do more Power Up in one day.

Another detail that I think is really cool is the insignia / achievement that we won (it reminds me of a video game) and that makes me motivated to do more to further expand my career.

These were my initial explanations about what Power Up Day is, held every first of the month on the Hive blockchain.

At that time, my post earned an incredible 0.64 cents of a dollar, which for me was amazing, and since then, I've had many posts receiving a much higher value. That was right at the beginning. The cool thing is that I grew as a person and as a community, because the importance of possessing Hive Power is enormous, and even back then I didn't fully understand it.

My record is two memorable posts that earned over $100, something that hasn't happened in a long time. But well, the focus isn't just on financial return; that helps, yes, but the current moment for the entire crypto market is terrible if you only think about withdrawing something.

For accumulation, even in times of war, now is the time, I'm always emphasizing this. I need to increase my monthly income, how do I do that? I don't know. Working with crypto will be much more complicated, but there's also the game-changer: investing in BTC now, and in the future, who knows, maybe the big turning point?

Even so, I continue investing in a blockchain, a SocialFI, or the process called Post To Earn, which has really caught my attention, especially since monetizing on web2 networks is complicated for me. I don't think I have the same stamina and talent as those who have succeeded, so being able to work on a "post to earn" model simplifies things considerably.

The $hive token isn't having its best day, but really, what token is? In my opinion, none. This is a time to accumulate, continue building and engaging, and not everything is just about monetary value. I've made great friends and learned many wonderful things, all of which are priceless to me.

Only time will tell if the crazy ones were right or if the warnings weren't heeded.
