My knowledge is worth money!

By Shiftrox_ | Future Growth | 12 Jun 2025

For some time now, I've started to think more about focusing solely and exclusively on myself. This doesn't mean that I'm going to become someone supremely selfish, but rather that I'm willing to at least think more about what I really want and desire for the moments in my life, with an emphasis on small moments of decision, of choosing whether or not to do anything. I've been through a few situations like this that made me reflect a little on the subject, on how, over time, it seems that I ended up forgetting about myself to please others.

I'll start by saying that any and all intelligence we have, if we're going to use it for something, some purpose, I think we should charge people, even if it's a lower price. I've been through a few times like this when I did some minor maintenance on laptops or just took a look at what was slowing them down and things like that, without charging anything, so I started thinking: I need money and I'm doing things for free for others, why? The screw costs 1, but knowing where to tighten it costs 99, so why this?

This is what I kept thinking: knowledge, experience, knowing where to look and what to look for to fix it is something we can monetize. Doing favors for others is good to a certain extent, but I studied, I learned, and with that, when I help others, I can earn from it too, right? That's what I'm thinking now. I don't mind charging a bargain price, charging very little, at least to start the routine of doing this, but I think we need to think this way. My knowledge is worth money!

This may sound quite egocentric, but that's what I've been thinking lately. Especially since I'm now taking risks in new things and wanting to reach greater heights, I want to turn any extra money I get into cryptocurrencies, whether it's Hive or something else that I believe has good potential. Sometimes you have to take risks, whether it's charging or believing in something. In any case, thinking about putting yourself first is sometimes a good choice too, having self-love, letting your knowledge bear fruit, why not?

Anyway, I'm going to try to apply this in practice, try to talk, come up with a good price for both myself and the person who needs my service, my attention, and so on. Honestly, I think everything can go well :)
